EXCLUSIVE: VP Bank Singapore Adds Senior Ex-Clariden Duo

VP Bank Singapore, the Asia division of the Liechtenstein private bank, has made two more senior hires following a team hire a few days ago.
VP Bank Singapore, the Asia division of the Liechtenstein private bank, has made two more senior hires on the back of a team hire last week.
Peter Buehler joined as head of intermediaries for Asia, reporting to chief executive of Asia for VP Bank, Ian Pollock. He will focus on external asset managers in Asia.
Buehler was based at Clariden Leu, the Swiss bank recently absorbed by Credit Suisse. He worked there for two years, most recently as head of European market and external asset managers in Asia. Before that he was at UBS.
Jane Foo has also joined the Singapore business, as senior execution/forex advisor in the investment advisory and trading team. She was previously based at Liechtenstein-based rival LGT; before that she was also at Clariden Leu.
The news comes in the wake of two other senior hires, announced exclusively by WealthBriefingAsia last week.
Matthew Tay joined from HSBC Private Bank, as market head
Indo-China. Chua Eng Leong and Michael Bheem joined from Swiss
wealth manager Julius Baer. Eng Leong is market head Singapore
and Bheem reports to Eng Leong.
Pollock who started earlier this year, left Julius Baer late last
year after two years as jointly running the roles of chief
financial officer for Asia and chief operating officer for North
Asia.
Pollock was mandated to grow the Asian business for the
Vaduz-headquartered bank, which in March recruited Patrick
Donaldson, a former Barclays private banker, as executive
director and senior relationship manager, based in Singapore.
In April Reto Isenring started in the newly-created function of
chief operating officer and deputy CEO. He was previously interim
CEO of the bank's Singapore branch pending Pollock's appointment.
