EXCLUSIVE: Citi Private Bank Rehires Top Marketing Woman

Citi Private Bank has rehired the former managing director and head of marketing at HSBC Private Bank, ten years after she left.

Citi Private Bank has hired the former managing director and head of marketing from HSBC Private Bank, to replace Money K, who has moved to a different role at the US lender.

Donna Leong joined Citi Private Bank as head of marketing and sales for Asia on 1 March this year. She reports to Bassam Salem, chief executive of the private bank in Asia-Pacific. She is based in Hong Kong.

She previously held the same role at HSBC Private Bank, where she worked since 2002. She left HSBC last August. Before HSBC, Leong worked for a decade at Citi Private Bank. She was most recently vice president and discretionary investment product head for Asia Pacific.

Leong replaces Money K, who is moving to head up the US bank’s global NextGen programme (Citi’s financial education programme for children of their ultra high net worth clients which it hosts in the US, Europe and Asia). K has worked at Citi in Asia since 1999 in various marketing capacities.
