ETF Web Application Launched By US Financial Tech Firm

Interactive Data Corporation, the US financial information and analytics vendor, has launched ETF CenterSM, a web-based portal which wealth managers and registered investment advisors (RIAs) can integrate into their own websites and other online applications.
Through this fully-hosted and customisable portal, wealth managers can offer investors access to real-time and end-of-day market data and analytical tools for US exchange-traded funds (ETFs).
ETFs have become increasingly popular in recent years due to their transparency and low costs; others also argue that passive investments can outperform active management in the long term, particularly when costs are factored in.
“As the ETF market continues to expand and evolve in complexity, RIAs and wealth managers need a variety of important data and customized analytical tools to help them derive the critical financial information they need to make important decisions for their clients,” said Jeff Banker, executive vice president, real-time market data and trading solutions for Interactive Data.
“The introduction of ETF Center underscores our ability to leverage our existing capabilities and data sets to develop a front office solution that provides increased transparency related to ETFs,” he added.
Clients can also use the new product to rank top-performing ETFs, set thresholds for meeting investment objectives and view changes in assets under management. ETF Center also offers analytical tools using Interactive Data’s Fair Value Information Service, the firm said in a statement.
