EFG's UK Business Adds To Central, Eastern Europe Capability

The UK business of EFG International has recruited a former senior banker from Coutts for its CEE team.

EFG Private Bank, the UK business of Zurich-listed EFG International, has recruited Dmitri Rozanov to be managing director, private banking, and member of the management committee, responsible for the Central and Eastern Europe team.

Rozanov will oversee a team of seven client relationship officers, all of which are recent hires, and co-ordinate the development of EFG Private Bank’s business in CEE, Russia, and the CIS, the firm said in a statement today.

Based in London, Rozanov reports to Anthony Cooke-Yarborough, chief executive, EFG Private Bank. He will also work with Michael Vlahovic, who is based in Zurich. Vlahovic joined EFG International in July as managing director, private banking for Eastern Europe and Russia as well as global market coordinator for CEE, Russia and the CIS.

Rozanov was formerly at Coutts & Co, where from 2011 he was the head of Russia/CIS and CEE business in the UK. Prior to this, he had a 15-year career in investment banking, during which he was responsible for CEE M&A business at Merrill Lynch and held various senior corporate finance positions at JP Morgan and Deutsche Bank.

“He [Rozanov] brings extensive experience serving private clients across Central and Eastern Europe, which is one of our growth markets,” Cook-Yarborough said in a statement. “Both Dmitri and I are committed to establishing EFG as a bank of choice for clients from this region,” he added.
