Digital Digest: The Latest Tech News – Iress, PlannerPal

The latest technology news in the wealth management sector from around the world.

Iress, PlannerPal
Iress, an Australia-listed fintech, yesterday said it has forged a new integration with AI-driven PlannerPal, which is a digital assistant used by UK financial advisors.

The integration helps advisors to cut costs, become more efficient and be in a better position to handle obligations such as requirements under the UK’s Consumer Duty regime, introduced at the end of July 2023, Iress said in a statement.

PlannerPal uses AI technology to generate meeting transcripts, actionable summaries and written follow-ups.

“The team at PlannerPal share our view that technology should help advice firms work smarter and more efficiently. We know advisors spend too much time on administration and low-value tasks, and AI technology can change this,” Alex Hore, Iress’ managing director, UK Wealth, said.
