Dexion Becomes Fully-Fledged Boutique Investment Bank

Dexion Capital completed its transition to a boutique investment bank with a focus on distributing alternative funds and giving advice to the asset management industry when it yesterday brought its joint venture corporate finance business, Katalyst Partners, fully in-house.

The corporate finance team, led by Ravi Anand, formerly a managing partner at Katalyst, will continue to undertake merger and acquisition activities in the asset management industry, as well as advising on fund transactions. Anand also joins Dexion’s board.

Earlier in his career, Anand worked for New Star Asset Management and HSBC Investment Bank, focused on the asset management sector.

“Our long-held strategy has been to grow Dexion to ensure that we have the expertise and infrastructure to provide a top calibre, focused service to investors and fund managers alike,” Ana Haurie, group managing director of Dexion, said in a statement.
