Deutsche Bank Obtains Inter-Bank Bond Settlement Licence In China

Deutsche Bank China has been granted a license to conduct inter-bank bond settlement by the People's Bank of China, thus opening opportunities to offer a wider range of services to its local clients.

Deutsche Bank China has been granted a license to conduct inter-bank bond settlement by the People's Bank of China, thus opening opportunities to offer a wider range of services to its local clients. 

With the licence, Deutsche Bank may now offer onshore settlement services on the over-the-counter market, in addition to the existing on-exchange transactions. It can also transact with Renminbi trade settlement banks, insurance companies, qualified foreign institutional investors and RQFIIs (RMB). 

Deutsche Bank joins the ranks of Standard Chartered Bank China and HSBC China as the only foreign banks offering inter-bank bond transactions in the country.
