Deutsche Asset And Wealth Appoints New India CIO For Equities

Deutsche Asset Management has announced the appointment of a chief investment officer for the equity arm of its Indian business.
Vikram Kotak is now CIO for equities, responsible for all investment activities and strategy on the equity side of the asset management operation. Kotak was previously CIO at Birla Sun Life and was part of the core leadership team that drove the firm's assets under management from $350 million to $4 billion in six years.
He replaces Aniket Inamdar, who left in late 2012.
Deutsche Asset and Wealth Management India caters to retail, institutional and wealth management clients. It has Rs18,500 crore ($3 million) in assets under management.
