Deloitte In UK Makes Splash Of Appointments To Private Client Team

Deloitte UK has welcomed a number of new faces from rival firms and announced a promotion.

Deloitte has bolstered its private client capabilities across the UK with six appointments.

In Manchester, Ruth de Arostegui joins Deloitte’s private client services team as director along with Hazel Gee and Mary Meadows as senior managers. They all join from PwC and will support growth in the UK's North West.

In Edinburgh, Jim Higgins returns to Deloitte as director, having previously worked in the firm's Edinburgh and Nottingham offices until 2007. In his new role, Higgins, who brings tax and commercial expertise across a range of industries, will focus on the private clients and private markets businesses. He joins from Coleby Associates, where he advised entrepreneurs and management teams on complex transactions.

In London, Deloitte has hired Annis Lampard from Grant Thornton within its private markets team to help lead its new tax disclosure and transparency offering. The firm said the appointment was in response to a surge in demand for help with tax reporting and managing relationships with global tax authorities following the introduction of FATCA as well as a growing focus on the exchange of information.

Finally,  in Bristol, Simone Parkinson, who has been in charge of growing Deloitte’s services to professional practices, has been promoted to director. She will now drive the firm’s plans to build its regional professional practices business.

Earlier this week, Deloitte UK launched Prisma, a regulatory and investor reporting service, to help investment managers, banks and insurance firms navigate complex global marketing regulation and tax rules.
