Crédit Agricole Names Exec Vice President

France’s Crédit Agricole has named Xavier Musca as executive vice president, responsible for the firm's international retail banking, asset management and insurance business lines.
According to a statement, Musca’s appointment will be confirmed following a meeting with the board of directors and the compliance committee on 17 July.
Musca started his career at the Inspection Générale des Finances and the French Treasury. Between 2002 and 2004 he was principal private secretary to Francis Mer, minister of the economy and finance, and was named director general of the treasury and economic policy in 2005.
He became deputy secretary general of the French president's office in February 2009 and secretary general in February 2011.
In other recent moves, in April Crédit Agricole named Giampiero Maioli as country manager for its activities in Italy.
