Coutts, the UK-headquartered private bank, has appointed Ronan Walsh as director, Coutts Channel Islands, based in Jersey.

Walsh joins Coutts from HSBC, where he was responsible for managing the bank’s private client base in Jersey. Before that, he served as a private banking relationship manager at AIB Bank.

Reporting to Richard Tribe, head of Coutts’ private client team for the Channel Islands, Walsh will be responsible for the bank’s private client business within the local Jersey market, as well as managing a portfolio of locally-based high net worth individuals and families, the firm said.

In other recent hires at the firm, last month Coutts appointed Sarah Wyse to the newly-created role of managing director, head of marketing and UK business development.
