Coutts Expands Private Office With Senior Executive

Coutts has brought on a seasoned executive with strong ties in private equity to grow its Private Office UHNW business.
Adam Brownlee was yesterday named executive director and wealth manager for Coutts' Private Office with the remit of growing the ultra-high net worth UK client base and deepening connections with NatWest's parent operations.
Brownlee joins from LGT Vestra, the independent wealth business owned by the Princely Family of Liechtenstein, where he was the UK-based senior wealth manager from 2017. He began his career at Barclays Private Clients and also spent several years managing UHNW clients for Credit Suisse and for HSBC Private Bank.
He reports to private office managing director Hannah Buxton and will join a team of 32 based in London, the bank said in a statement. The firm did not respond on who Brownlee would be replacing internally.
Coutts’ head of private office Warren Thompson said that Brownlee's background stood out for "building those deep multi-generational relationships that are the foundation” of managing wealthy family dynamics.
Earlier this month, the bank made an alliance with the Post Office to expand physical services for clients wanting day-to-day banking access, particularly useful in more rural areas that have been hit by bank branch closures.
