Coutts Appoints Senior Private Banker For Yorkshire

UK private bank Coutts & Co, part of Royal Bank of Scotland, has appointed Ian Copley as senior private banker for Yorkshire.
In his new role Mr Copley will focus on entrepreneurial and family business clients across the region. He will be based in Coutts’ Leeds office, which opened in 1992 and now has a staff of 25, making it one of the bank’s largest regional bases in the UK.
Mr Copley joins Coutts from Bank of Scotland Investment Services, where he most recently provided wealth management advisory services to private banking clients, having previously been head of training, recruitment and professional development.
Mr Copley’s appointment closely follows news of Maggie Bradley’s transfer from Coutts’ London offices to Oxford, where, as client partner, she will focus specifically on the local entrepreneurial, professional and executive markets. Ms Bradley was most recently a business partner for international clients based in Coutts’ UK headquarters in The Strand.
According to recent media reports these premises are now up for sale as part of a £475 million ($760 million) portfolio of RBS properties being sold by Telereal Trillium, the property company of the London-based Pears family.
