Comerica Bags Former Wells Fargo Exec for National Sales Role

Comerica Bank named former Wells Fargo Private Bank executive from Colorado, Michael Wilson, to head national sales for its private banking business based in Texas. Mr Wilson was named senior vice president/director of national sales and marketing for Comerica’s Wealth & Institutional Management division, which services affluent clients with private banking, investment management and institutional trust and retirement services through its brands Comerica Securities, Comerica Insurance and Wilson Kemp. Mr Wilson began his 21-year career as a portfolio manager with Bank of Boston. He also previously served as wealth management specialist for First Union Atlanta, according to the bank. He was senior vice president/regional manager of the Wells Fargo Private Bank in Colorado, where he managed private banking, personal trust, brokerage and portfolio management. Comerica reported assets of $57.5 billion at 31 March 2007 with locations in Michigan, Texas, California, Arizona and Florida. Its business is separated into three segments – the business bank, the retail bank, and wealth & institutional management.
