Close Fund Management (Investments), the investment business of Close Brothers Group, has announced a plan to run a new inheritance tax service in conjunction with Openworks, a UK independent financial advisor network. The new venture – the Close Inheritance Tax Service – makes use of the tax advantages available from companies traded on the Alternative Investment Market and is designed to allow investors to avoid inheritance tax. The CITS portfolio invests in companies listed on AIM, which qualify for business property relief. Minimum investment of £50,000 ($91,813) is required.
