Clariden Leu Adds Three To Singapore Team

Clariden Leu is making waves in Asia with the recent appointment of three executives to its Singapore team.

Vincent Wang joins the company as head of treasury and execution for Asia and Liew Chin Choy steps in as head of mid-office, while Charles Yeoh has been named senior portfolio manager.

Wang was previously an investment representative at Morgan Stanley in Asia. He took over his new post in 25 August and reports to Britta Haeberling, head of execution and direct access clients based in Zurich, and Andrea Carl, the head of products and services for Asia.

Choy used to be the Asia-Pacific business management head at Merrill Lynch. In his new role he will be responsible for developing the Swiss bank's mid-office service and booking centre in Singapore. He reports to Markus Buck, the Singapore-based chief operating officer for Asia.

Yeoh joins the firm from the private wealth management arm of Deutsche Bank, where he served as senior portfolio manager. At Clariden, he reports to Chew Soon Gek, head of portfolio management and investment strategy for Asia.

Clariden Leu has been making a series of appointments in Asia over the past months as it seeks to gain a better foothold in the fast growing region. In June, it appointed Matthew Man and Shirley Yap to its Hong Kong office and Peter Beuhler to its Singapore team.
