London law firm Speechly Bircham has hired Kate Troup as a senior solicitor to join its financial services team. She joins from Farrer & Co.

Ms Troup has particular expertise in the investment management and private banking sectors. She has advised many private banks on lending regulation (consumer credit and mortgage conduct of business rules) and general banking conduct of business rules.

This appointment follows the hire in January of financial services partner Jonathan Bayliss, who also joined from Farrer & Co.
