City Index Launches Spread Betting App For BlackBerry

City Index, the spread betting and CFD trader, is to launch an application for BlackBerry, said to be the first of its kind for this smartphone, called City Trading.

The application aims to provide customers with full and secure 24-hour access to their trading accounts, and includes such features as streaming charts with technical indicators, latest prices and market movements, the firm said in a statement.

"This unprecedented app for BlackBerry will allow City Index customers to trade whenever they what, wherever they are, with the most powerful mobile trading tools in the industry available at their fingertips,” said Joshua Raymond, chief market strategist at City Index.

"We recognise that our clients have hectic lifestyles and the ability to trade on the move has become necessity. A live spread betting app of the same name was first launched by City Index in October 2009 for the iPhone.
