Citi Wealth Appoints New Chief Investment Officer
There's a new CIO – formerly at BlackRock – at the wealth management arm of the US banking group.
Citi Wealth, part of Citigroup, has appointed
Kate Moore as chief investment officer, reporting to Andy Sieg,
who is head of wealth, according to a memo.
Steven Wieting, who has been interim CIO for the past six
months, will become chief investment strategist and
economist inside the CIO organization of the US
bank. Wieting previously held the CIS and economist before
taking on the interim role.
Moore, who will be taking up her new role in February, will
join from BlackRock, where she most recently served as head of
thematic strategy for its $50 billion global allocation business.
Before this, More was chief investment strategist for the private
banking arm of JP Morgan. She has served in senior roles at Bank
of America Merrill Lynch, Moore Capital, and Morgan
Stanley.
Moore holds an MA in political economy from the University of
Chicago and a BA from the University of Virginia.
