Citi Wealth Advisors, the retail business unit of Citigroup Global Markets India, has launched a Smart Broking branch in Pune.

The new CWA branch is located at the ICC Tech Park, Senapati Bapat Road and is the second smart broking branch in the country, the first being in New Delhi. The office is equipped with modern technology and infrastructure that aims to create a world-class experience for clients. 

Among the other features of the branch are personalised advisory services, real-time institutional quality research and periodic performance reviews. The highlight of the new office iis a digital "marketing wall," which offers insight into the firm's activities through a digital display of products and services and their corresponding benefits. 

India is among the fastest growing Asia-Pacific markets in terms of high net worth individuals. According to the latest wealth study by Merrill Lynch, the number of dollar millionaires in India went up 20 per cent in 2010 to 153,000 individuals. Between 2009 and 2010, the total wealth of India's rich grew by 22 per cent to $582 billion.

With the latest launch, Citi Wealth Advisors is now available in a total of eight cities in the India, including Mumbai, Delhi, Ahmedabad, Hyderabad, Bangalore, Chennai and Kolkata. Citi's Indian presence spans 42 branches across 30 cities.
