Citi Australia Announces Banking, Wealth Management Products Head

Citi Australia names former NAB Private Wealth and Macquarie executive to lead its banking and wealth management products division.

Citi has named a new banking and wealth management in Australia.

Effective immediately, Deirdre Wroth assumes the role of head of banking and wealth management products for its consumer bank in Asia. Wroth joined Citi in 2012 as head of investments, treasury and wealth advisory, which includes responsibility for Citi Australia's wealth specialists, treasury services and investment products. Prior to that, she held senior banking, investment and wealth management positions at NAB Private Wealth and Macquarie Bank.

In her new post, Wroth will be responsible for the firm's mortgage, deposit and insurance product teams, as well as the consumer bank's treasury, investments and wealth advisory functions. She is now part of the consumer bank senior leadership team and reports to Julian Potter, the Australia consumer banking head.

The company has not specified whether this is a replacement or a newly-created role.

Citi started its consumer banking operations in the country in 1985 and serves over a million customer accounts and 90 corporate accounts.
