Chicago Private Bank Appoints New Managing Directors

The PrivateBancorp, the US-based financial services group, has appointed two new managing directors at The Private Bank, its Chicago based private client group. Dwayne Bass and Andrew Thornton took up their positions in the last month, the bank told WealthBriefing.
Mr Bass was previously an assistant vice president and private banker at Ohio-headquartered National City Bank. Prior to that, he held the position of assistant vice president and private banker in LaSalle Bank's wealth management group, which was recently acquired by Bank of America.
Mr Thornton was formerly a vice president and wealth advisor for the wealth management group at Cole Taylor Bank in Chicago. Prior to that, he held the position of vice president at The Northern Trust Company and National City Bank.
The Private Bank focuses on personalised, premium financial services primarily to privately held businesses, affluent individuals, wealthy families, professionals, entrepreneurs and real estate investors for their personal and professional interests.
The firm has 18 offices located in the Atlanta, Chicago, Detroit, Milwaukee, St Louis and Kansas City areas.
