Charles Stanley Acquires Insinger de Beaufort Private Client Business

UK private client stockbroker Charles Stanley has acquired the private client business of Insinger de Beaufort, the firm has confirmed to WealthBriefing. Charles Stanley is set to pay up to £4 million ($8 million) for the Anglo-Dutch banking group's private client business, depending on the quantum of assets under management, currently believed to be over £250 million. The deal is expected to complete in June. Charles Stanley currently manages £11.6 billion. The acquisition will see Insinger de Beaufort's 13 person private client team, including heads Elissa Bayer and Frank Martin, join Charles Stanley. Last year Insinger de Beaufort hired ex-All Blacks captain Sean Fitzpatrick to work with its international private banking division on enhancing existing relationships with clients and building new relationships with prospective clients through his network of sport and business contacts.
