Charles Russell Speechlys Continues International Growth

The law firm has made a number of hires around the world, such as in Paris, Hong Kong and London.

International law firm Charles Russell Speechleys has appointed Thomas Snider as partner and head of its international arbitration practice, based in the Dubai office.

Snider previously worked at Al Tamimi & Co.

His appointment follows Charles Russell Speechlys’ recent move into Singapore; the firm aims to keep expanding its international arbitration practice.

With more than 20 years of experience resolving large-scale, complex disputes across the Middle East, Asia and Africa, Snider is recognised for his expertise in commercial arbitration, investment disputes, state-to-state arbitration, and foreign sovereign immunity-related matters. Snider has experience in various industries, sectors, and types of disputes including construction and infrastructure, energy and natural resources, retail, consumer, and leisure.

Among various roles, Snider is on the Court of Arbitration of the Singapore International Arbitration Centre (SIAC) and a member of the board of directors of the Dubai International Arbitration Centre (DIAC).

Snider’s appointment closely follows the arrival of Vanessa Duff, who joined as partner in the firm’s family team in Hong Kong, Simon Le Wita, dispute resolution partner, in Paris, and Francis Ho, construction, engineering, and project partner in London.
