Change At The Top Of Crédit Agricole Private Banking In Hong Kong
The European-headquartered banking group has named a new CEO for its operations in Hong Kong.
Crédit Agricole Private Banking has appointed Antoine
Candiotti as its new chief executive of the Hong Kong branch,
taking the helm from Serge Janowski, who left the role last
year.
Candiotti reports to Hans Diederen, CEO of Crédit Agricole
Private Banking in Asia. He brings an industry track record of
almost 30 years of which 12 years spent as CEO of Crédit Agricole
Private Banking entities subsequently in Singapore, Hong Kong and
in the Americas. The latest move represents a return to his
former role because Candiotti, who had been CEO for the
bank's American operations between 2010 and 2014, had
previously been CEO in Hong Kong from 2005 to 2010. Prior to that
from 2003 to 2005 he was managing director, head of private
banking for Asia, in Singapore. He created the branch in the city
state and was responsible for relations with the banking
authorities and the commercial development of the private banking
teams based in Singapore and Hong Kong.
Subject to regulatory approvals, Candiotti will start his new
role on 1 March, the bank said in a statement today.
“Antoine is very well positioned to further grow our business in
Hong Kong and seize opportunities to strengthen our expansion in
the Greater China region. I am deeply convinced that his Asian
experience and strong knowledge of high and ultra-high net worth
individuals’ needs will be instrumental to accelerate our
development and continue to provide our clients with the highest
standard of service,” Diederen said in a statement.
The former CEO in Hong Kong, Serge Janowski, joined the bank in
2011; previously, he had been CEO of wealth management in Hong
Kong and North Asia at BNP Paribas.
