People Moves
Change At The Top At Citi's UK Private Bank

Citi Private Bank has appointed David Poole to be acting head of the UK market region, taking over part of the role from Peter Charrington, who is moving to the US to run the private bank’s North American business, WealthBriefing has learned.
Mr Poole is currently business development manager for the UK region, and has been at Citi since 2006. He has worked as a business development manager at Merrill Lynch and has been a private client fund manager at Rothschild Asset Management.
In his former role, Mr Charrington had responsibility for the UK region, Israel and Monaco. In a change, the Israeli business division will now be separately run by Gerassimos Spyridakis, in addition to his responsibilities as general market manager for Greece. Monaco’s private bank division will be run by Samir Raslan, a current senior Citi private bank manager.
There have been a number of significant staff moves at the US-based private bank; for example, it is looking to hire experienced high net worth bankers as well as support staff as part of its plans to form a dedicated HNW service in the EMEA region.
In April, Citi named Jane Fraser as the new chief executive of its private banking unit.
