Carne Group, which provides independent governance services to the global asset management industry, has added Michelle Wilson-Clarke to its team of Cayman Islands fund directors.

Wilson-Clarke joins from Intertrust Fund Services, having previously worked at Walkers Fund Services, a division of offshore law firm Walkers which was acquired in 2012 by Intertrust Group.

She began her financial services career with Wellington Management Company in Boston, MA, where she was a vice president and relationship analyst for several large mutual fund sponsors, endowments and foundations.

Wilson-Clarke's appointment brings the total number of full-time independent fund directors in the Cayman Islands to seven.

Carne now has 27 full-time independent fund directors serving on fund boards around the world.

Meanwhile, in November, Carne opened a new office in Chicago, IL, and appointed Scott Jones as an independent fund director there.
