Virginia-based Cardinal Bank has promoted William Mundy as senior vice president and executive managing director of Cardinal Wealth Services.

Mundy joined Cardinal in 2010 as managing director of CWS. During his 26-year career at Wachovia, and predecessors First Union and Signet, Mundy held sales management positions in all facets of wealth management, the firm said.

In his new role, Mundy will oversee business development strategies and execution of the wealth services and commercial services executive teams.
