California Firm Partners With Franklin Templeton To Provide Trust Services

AmeriFlex Financial Services, a Santa Barbara-based financial planning and wealth management firm, has partnered with Franklin Templeton Bank & Trust to allow clients’ trust assets to be managed by AmeriFlex advisors.

Franklin Templeton will handle the trust administration and safekeeping duties while clients’ trust assets will be incorporated into their overall financial plan with their AmeriFlex advisor. The wealth manager did previously offer trust services, but the new arrangement means asset management services will be provided in-house, by someone the client “has a relationship with,” a spokesperson for the firm said.

“The main issue with a traditional corporate trust is that the new manager needs time to learn and understand our client's history, including risk tolerance and specific financial needs. These are details we already know well based on our existing relationship with that client,” said Thomas Goodson, founder and CEO of AmeriFlex Financial Services.

The firm was founded in 1988. Its advisors and registered representatives offer securities and advisory services through SagePoint Financial.
