Brooks Macdonald Nabs Investment Manager From Investec W&I

The asset management arm of London-listed Brooks Macdonald Group has expanded its investment team in the Midlands.

The UK's Brooks Macdonald Asset Management has hired Tom Meredith from Investec Wealth & Investment as investment manager, hot on the heels of the appointment of Adam Baillie, also from Investec W&I, as investment management director.

Meredith, who was a fund analyst within Investec W&I's Birmingham-based team, will join Brooks Macdonald's Leamington Spa office.

He previously worked in investment operations at wealth manager Williams de Broë, which was integrated under the Investec W&I umbrella in 2012.

His appointment brings the total number of investment managers at BMAM to 61, with a further 13 trainee investment managers.

“Tom is another excellent hire for BMAM and brings with him a wealth of knowledge and expertise,” said BMAM's joint managing director, Andrew Shepherd.

“This will be a great boost to the team as we look to expand our regional offering in the Midlands to satisfy the needs of our growing base of professional advisors and clients.”
