Brooks Macdonald Funds Adds Senior Hire For International Role

Brooks Macdonald Funds, the fund management arm of Brooks Macdonald Group, has appointed David Scammell to the newly-created role of international business development manager, as the team further develops its international offering.

Brooks Macdonald Funds, the fund management arm of [brooks macdonald">Brooks Macdonald Group, has appointed David Scammell to the newly-created role of international business development manager, as the team further develops its international offering.

Scammell will be based in Mayfair, London, and will be responsible for promoting and distributing BMF’s range of funds both internationally and in South-West England.

He has over 16 years of experience in the financial services industry and joins BMF from Frontier Investment Management, where he was senior business development manager. Before this, he worked for Friends Provident International in a variety of business development roles, which included several years located in Singapore and Kuala Lumpur.

Last month, Brooks Macdonald acquired Jersey-based DPZ Capital Management for an initial sum of £5.7 million ($9.5 million), a deal that boosts discretionary funds under management by £360 million to a total of £6.04 billion. For more on this story, click here.

Brooks Macdonald saw its discretionary funds under management increase 4.2 per cent to £5.92 billion in the first quarter.
