Brandywine Global Investment Management Opens London Office

Brandywine Global Investment Management, a subsidiary of Legg Mason, has said it has opened a London office.  The firm is headquartered in Philadephia, and the London office is Brandywine’s fourth location globally, its other bases being in San Francisco and Singapore.

Ted Whitaker, managing director of Brandywine Global's international business, said: "With the opening of a London office, Brandywine Global has institutionalised its presence in this important geography and will be better equipped to meet the needs of a growing list of clients based in the U.K., Europe, the Middle East and Africa."

The director of sales, marketing support and client service for the London office is Johan Joly.  Mr Joly was formerly a director at Lehman Brothers international, where he was responsible for sales and marketing for the fixed income portfolio analytics group.

Supporting Mr Joly as associate director of sales, marketing support and client service is Daniele Drago.  Together, they will be responsible for establishing and maintaining relationships with clients and consultants based in the EMEA region.

Brandywine has $47.2 billion assets under management, $2.8 of which being those of individual investors.   Brandywine Global's client base is predominantly institutional and global, with over 40 per cent of assets managed on behalf of non-US domiciled clients.
