BoA Merrill Lynch Appoints Asia-Pacific Technology Head
Bank of America Merrill Lynch has announced a new technology head for Asia-Pacific.
Simon Lucocq takes the role of head of technology and operations in the Asia-Pacific region based in Hong Kong. Lucocq was previously with Nomura where for the past four years he served as global chief information officer. Prior to that, he was CIO in Asia-Pacific for Lehman Brothers, based in Tokyo.
In this new role, he will have end-to-end responsibility for technology and operations in the region. He reports to Bill Pappas, CIO for global wholesale banking, and joins the extended leadership team of Cathy Bessant, the global technology and operations executive. He will also have regional accountability to Matthew Koder, president of Asia-Pacific, and will serve on the Asia-Pacific executive committee.
Lucocq succeeds Dannis Arnum, who has retired after a 37-year career at Bank of America Merrill Lynch.
