Blue Sky Alternative Investments, the Australian alternative fund management firm, has bolstered its private equity unit with a new manager.

Lachlan McMurdo takes the role of investment manager for the PE division, responsible for building the firm's existing portfolio. McMurdo joins from Bain & Company, where he was a consultant for the past three years. 

Blue Sky Alternative Investments specialises in four asset classes: private equity, private real estate, hedge funds and real assets. It has A$202 million in assets under management.
