Best Of UK-Swiss Businesses Honoured; Reminder That WealthBriefing Switzerland/Liechtenstein Awards Deadline Is Near

The British-Swiss Chamber of Commerce has recently honoured outstanding UK and Swiss businesses in an annual awards ceremony in Geneva. And remember that WealthBriefing's own Swiss/Liechtenstein awards submission deadline is near.

The British-Swiss Chamber of Commerce – of which the publisher of this website is a member – has recently honoured outstanding UK and Swiss businesses in an annual awards ceremony in Geneva.

And, meanwhile, the subject of awards is a reminder to WealthBriefing readers of the deadline of 5 December for the WealthBriefing Switzerland/Liechtenstein Awards 2014. The ceremony will be held in Geneva (for full details, see here).

As far as the BSCC event is concerned, the event was attended by more than 160 business leaders and guests – the third, annual awards ceremony.

Four organisations each received one of the prestigious trophies, including Phonak, the manufacturer of hearing systems, which collected the Company of the Year Award.

The Small Company of the Year Award received numerous impressive submissions and was won by Trans Data Management.

ABB Sécheron won the Innovation 2013 award.

Firmenich, creator of perfumes and flavours, won the award for Corporate Social Responsibility.

Partners for the awards include Aston Martin, British Airways, Laurent-Perrier; and the Media Partners are Bilan, So Money Productions and World Radio Switzerland.

The Judging Panel 2013 comprised Thomas Hoehn, Professor at Imperial College Business School London; Dr Guy Waldvogel, former industrial executive and independent management consultant; Reto Frei, co-founder and COO of Tibits, Vegetarian Restaurants; Jesús Martin-Garcia, director at Eclosion and Dr Francisco Szekely, Professor of Global Leadership and Sustainability at IMD, Lausanne.
