Berkeley Law Hires Taylor Wessing's Senior Associate

Berkeley Law has welcomed Tom Gauterin to its international tax and structuring team.

Berkeley Law, the London-based private wealth law firm, has appointed Taylor Wessing's Tom Gauterin as senior associate in its international tax and structuring team.

Gauterin previously worked as a senior associate in Taylor Wessing’s private client department, where he advised on a range of trust and estate matters. He also specialises in tax planning advice, mostly for clients with international affairs, and covers charity law matters.

“He brings a great deal of experience in acting for high net worth individuals and charities,” said Nick Rucker, partner at Berkeley Law.

“We are looking to further solidify our position as the legal and wealth advisory business of choice, having been acquired by leading legal services group Irwin Mitchell in November 2014, as we expand our range of services to complex private and corporate clients in the UK and internationally. Tom will be instrumental in attracting such clients going forward.”

Berkeley Law, which was founded five years ago, advises high net worth clients and families from the UK and abroad, as well as their advisors – including family and estate offices – and the institutions that serve them.
