Bennelong Funds Management Announces CFO

Bennelong Funds Management, the Australian investment manager, has named a new chief financial officer effective 12 June.
Jeff Phillips joins from Antares, formerly Aviva Investors/Portfolio Partners, where he was CIO and chief financial officer for Asia-Pacific. MLC, the wealth unit of National Australia Bank, acquired Antares in October 2011.
In his new capacity, he will be overseeing the finance, reporting, compliance and product management functions throughout the firm's divisions. Phillips was picked from over 80 applicants, the company said.
Also recently hired are Hamish Wood as group finance manager reporting to Phillips, Nicole Hammond as senior fund accountant and Angela Cavuoto as assistant accountant.
Bennelong Funds Management currently has A$3 billion in funds under management.
