Barings Brings On New Marketing Boss

The London-headquartered investment manager has appointed new marketing leadership.

Baring Asset Management has hired Mike Evans as its new head of marketing and communications.

Replacing Claire Fraser, Evans joins from Legg Mason Global Asset Management where he was head of international intermediary marketing and led the firm’s marketing activities across Europe, Asia and Latin America. He previously held marketing positions at BNY Mellon and Schroders.

In his new role, Evans will oversee the development and execution of brand and marketing strategy. Based in London, he will report to David Brennan, chairman and chief executive at Barings.

“Mike has a strong track record in asset management marketing that extends across many of the markets in which we operate. As we continue to build on our strong investment capabilities and product pipeline, Mike’s expertise will be invaluable in leading our integrated marketing efforts to meet the needs of our global clients,” said Brennan.
