Baring
Asset Management has started to reshuffle its team in the
wake of several departures, with two new hires being former
Schroders
employees.
Ken Lamden has been appointed as chief investment officer out of
Barings London office, taking over from Marino Valensise, who
will take on the role of head of multi-asset group following
Percival Stanion’s decision to resign to take up an external
opportunity, Barings said in a statement today.
Lamden previously worked at Schroders, where he was most recently
global head of equities with oversight for over £90 billion
($150.4 billion) of assets. Prior to this, Lamden was CEO and
chief investment officer of Schroders’ Australian business and
responsible for the division’s equity, fixed income and
multi-asset teams.
Further resignations include Andrew Cole and Shaniel Ramjee.
Barings has also appointed Sonja Laud as multi-asset income
investment manager. She will be based in London and reports to
Valensise. She joins the firm from Schroders where she was a fund
manager with responsibility for five global equity funds that
focused on income.
