Barclays Wealth Bolsters Team With Raft Of Hires

Barclays Wealth has made a number of appointments to the London and South-East division of its UK & Ireland Private Banking business, as part of its ongoing commitment to double the number of client-facing bankers it employs globally.
The appointments include hires from a number of rival firms, as well as from other Barclays businesses. All are joining the teams headed by Ben Covey and Stuart Cummins, who are charged with increasing coverage in the region and forging closer links with Barclays Corporate.
The most senior appointments are that of Victoria Hoskins, who is moving from the firm’s investment management team to become a director in the private banking business, and David Miller, who formerly worked at Coutts and has been appointed as a vice president.
Appointed as assistant vice president are Joseph Tuson, also formerly of Coutts; Mark Endacott, who joins from Drummonds Private Bank; Callum Petras, who has previously worked at HSBC; Robert Shihata, who joins from Bank of America Merrill Lynch, and Nigel Helen from BNP Paribas.
Meanwhile, James Pickett and Scott Phillips are transferring to the bank’s private wealth business as assistant vice presidents from Barclays Capital and Barclays Stockbrokers respectively, and Melanie Nolan has joined from Barclays Premier (the bank's mass affluent business). Also promoted internally are Elizabeth Parker and Anne Louise Kilburn, who have graduated from the firm’s “Future Banker” scheme.
Other hires from outside the banking industry are Tim Rigby, who formerly worked as a barrister, and James Lord, who joins from the recruitment industry. Both will hold the position of assistant vice president at Barclays Wealth.
