Barclays Makes Raft Of Promotions Across Channel Islands

The wealth and investment management division of Barclays has promoted in the region of 40 employees across its Guernsey and Jersey operations, including three promotions to director and 10 to vice president.

The firm said in a statement that the promotions are effective across all levels of the organisation and throughout a number of divisions.

Jersey appointments

In Jersey, Michael Farley and Steve Gully have been promoted to directors within the wealth advisory team, working with high net worth individuals, financial advisors and private client advisors.

Also in the wealth advisory team, James Dwyer, Stuart Esslemont and Sarah Bartram have been promoted to vice president, while in the wealth intermediaries and international team, Allan Wood and Richard Nunn have also been promoted to vice president.

Meanwhile, Aidan McAvinue has been promoted to director level and will continue in his role focusing on intermediaries and local and international trust companies.

Rounding off the Jersey promotions, Christopher Golding from the global research and investments team and James Dupre from the infrastructure group now serve as vice presidents.

Guernsey appointments

In Guernsey, Gavin Parker and Steve Rickards have been promoted to vice president within the captives and intermediaries, and intermediary and international wealth solutions teams respectively.

The firm said a further 27 employees have been promoted into various manager and assistant manager roles across various sections of the business.

In other recent moves at Barclays, last week the firm bolstered its Aberdeen team with the hire of private banker Elaine Hepburn. Hepburn reports to Mark Flynn, director of wealth and investment management in Aberdeen. She joined from Aberdeen Asset Management, where she was responsible for building relationships with clients in the private client team.
