Banque Pasche Continues on the Acquisition Trail

Geneva-based Swiss private bank, Banque Pasche, has purchased a majority stake in Swissfirst Liechtenstein, an independant asset management company, for an undisclosed amount. This follows the bank’s acquisition of the private banking business of Swissfirst Bank at the end of 2006. At that time Swissfirst Liechtenstein was the subject of a management buyout and not part of the deal. This acquisition brings with it some SFr3.5 billion ($3.1 billion) in assets under management. Banque Pasche, which is owned by the major French financial services company CM-CIC, has also just taken over a Geneva-based trust company with another SFr700 million of assets under management. It is believed that Banque Pasche now has about SFr10 billion of assets under management.
