The Bank of China fund management joint venture with BlackRock has been given regulatory approval to invest in overseas capital markets under China's qualified domestic institutional investor scheme.

The bank said that BlackRock will offer consultancy for product design, marketing, and other services related to the investment by Bank of China Investment Management under the QDII program.
