Baker Tilly Broadens Italian Offering With New Member Firm

Baker Tilly International, the UK-based accountancy and advisory network, has added a new member firm in the shape of Italy-based Studio Maurizio Godoli.
The firm, which works closely with existing Italian member firm Baker Tilly Consulaudit and provides taxation, financial advisory, legal and consultancy services. It has offices in Bologna, Milan and Rome.
It was founded in 1969 and employs 25 professionals, 15 of whom are chartered accountants and five are business lawyers.
"Italian law currently prohibits the same accounting firm from providing both regulated audit services and tax services," explains Geoff Barnes, Baker Tilly International CEO & President. "Bringing Studio Maurizio Godoli into our membership to work alongside Baker Tilly Consulaudit widens our service offering and ensures we have the right skill set to help clients, and provides strong foundations for the future development of our representation in Italy."
So far in 2012, Baker Tilly has added a raft of member firms in exotic locations such as Slovakia, Ghana and Denmark.
