International law firm Baker & McKenzie has hired former Berwin Leighton Paisner partner Henry Frydenson to be a consultant within its London private banking practice. At his new firm Mr Frydenson will concentrate on contentious trusts and private client work along with tax, offshore and venture capital work. Ashley Crossley, who Bakers hired as a private banking partner from Clifford Chance last November told WealthBriefing: “We are delighted that Henry Frydenson is joining Baker & McKenzie as he is a chief rainmaker in trust litigation and will help consolidate the huge amount of international work where we are one of the few firms who can handle clients’ multi-jurisdictional needs.” Bakers’ London private banking team has tripled in size in the last three years and since July the firm has also expanded its practice in New York, Miami and Zurich. Mr Frydenson is the chairman and co-founder of the Association of Contentious Trust and Probate Specialists.
