BNY Mellon Wealth Management Makes Senior Appointment

BNY Mellon Wealth Management has brought in a new role in the US to build stronger links between regional offices.

BNY Mellon Wealth Management has created a new US role to foster stronger coordination among its regional offices, naming Thomas Dicker as head of US markets.

Based in Boston, Massachusetts, Dicker will oversee BNY Mellon's 38 wealth offices throughout the country, reporting to Don Heberle, chief executive of BNY Mellon Wealth Management. Previously, there were three market presidents, covering the East, West and New York-Tri State areas, the firm confirmed.

Dicker - who most recently served as chief operating officer - has held several other leadership posts and client-facing roles during his 29 years with BNY Mellon, including overseeing the acquisition of the firm's offices in Toronto, Chicago, and Menlo Park, California. It is unclear who will assume COO duties going forward.

In other recent developments at the firm, last week it ramped up its workforce in the Windy City with five appointments. It has also recently hired Frieda Rakhman as a wealth director in Atlanta, GA, and appointed Esteban Colon to the new role of wealth director in New York and northern New Jersey.
