BNY Mellon Wealth Management has appointed Leo Mutchler as escrow sales specialist for the tri-state region, based in New York.

Mutchler is a private banking veteran, bringing over 15 years of experience with the likes of JP Morgan, Morgan Stanley and Bank of America. He was latterly head of custody sales at HSBC Private Bank. At BNY Mellon, he reports directly to Carolyn Kozlowski, national escrow sales manager.

BNY Mellon has announced a series of hires since the start of 2012 as it embarks on an expansionary strategy in the wealth management sector. Just yesterday it emerged that former Illinois state treasurer Alexi Giannoulias had been hired as a senior advisor for strategic relationships and that five more hires would be made in Chicago. Earlier, Cynthia Steer joined as head of manager research and investment solutions. The wealth manager also recently launched a mobile application that supports risk analysis and performance for clients who are always on the move.

BNY Mellon Wealth Management has around $170 billion in assets under management in the US.
