BNY Mellon WM Names New York Market Head

BNY Mellon Wealth Management has appointed industry veteran
Doris Meister as its regional president for the New York area.
She'll be responsible for sales, portfolio management and private
banking in metropolitan New York, which takes in Manhattan, other
parts of New York State and parts of New Jersey and Connecticut.
“Doris brings with her an exceptional
record of 30 years in wealth management and financial service,”
says BNY Mellon's US-markets chief Larry Hughes. "Her active
leadership and professional expertise will be instrumental in
helping us expand our presence in the largest wealth-management
market in the world.”
Meister was most recently a senior
vice president with
AllianceBernstein. Prior to that, she was head of
Merrill Lynch's Private Banking and Investment group. Before
joining Merrill in 1999, she worked in Fleet Bank's
wealth-management group.
Merrill became a part of
Bank of America in 2009; Bank of America acquired Fleet in
2003.
At BNY Mellon Wealth Management
Meister will work closely with national sales director Tom
Hurlbrink, head of private banking Bill Sappington, and New
York portfolio-management managing director Pat
Crowe.
BNY Mellon Wealth Management manages
about $142 billion in private -client
assets.
