BNY Mellon Builds Asia-Pacific Team Through New Investment Management Role

BNY Mellon, the US-based investment management firm, has expanded its Asia-Pacific team with the appointment of a new head.

Richard Collis assumes the role of managing director for investment management, reporting to Jane Caire, head of strategy and corporate development for the Asia-Pacific business. In this newly-created position, Collis will work alongside Caire in building insurance and pension solutions designed for Asian clients. He brings over 25 years of financial services experience to the firm and most recently served as head of the bancassurance business at MetLife in Asia-Pacific.

"The global shift in aging demographics and the related social strains for retirement incomes has been well documented. [The appointment] will help develop solutions to assist insurance and pension providers help their clients plan for wealth creation and income," said Caire in a statement.

Collis' hire comes just after Albert Yeh's in July, who joined the team in a newly-created role as managing director in Hong Kong, also reporting to Caire.
