Australia's AMP Capital Investors Hires Listed Assets Head

Australia’s AMP Capital Investors has recruited Andrew Lill from Russell Investments to head its listed assets investments team.

On taking up his new role on 1 July, Mr Lill will head a team of six investment specialists across listed assets and will also be the primary investment specialist for fixed interest. He will report to Brian Delaney, business director, client, product and marketing.

Mr Lill’s appointment reflects AMP Capital’s continued investment focus on building investment capabilities for clients in the Asia Pacific region, Mr Delaney said.

At Russell Investments, Mr Lill was most recently director of investment strategy for the firm’s Australian operations. Prior to joining Russell in 2002, Mr Lill was a partner and head of manager research at Lane Clark & Peacock's London office and before this, he was an investment analyst with Watson Wyatt Investment Consulting, also in London.

AMP Capital Investors, a wholly owned subsidiary of AMP Financial, has A$88.5 billion ($67.1 billion) in assets under management, as at 31 March 2008.
